16 weeks to go!

My 2011 NYC Marathon training officially started this week. November 6th is just 4 months away. In 16 weeks I will be checking off another item on my life's bucket list. Last year I injured myself after running the Bronx Half Marathon. I took the winter off and attended physical therapy. I am back on the saddle as the saying goes. Taking my time and being very cautious.

Besides running, I am attending Pilate's classes and meeting with a private running coach to to help with core and strength conditioning. I joined The Chattahoochee Road Runners Club in Atlanta. Every Monday night I meet with a trail running group for cross training. Saturday is their long distance group run. There are water stations set up for people running 6 to 22 miles. It's pretty awesome.

I started this blog because I really need support from all my friends and family the next few months. Be my cheerleaders! It's going to be a tough challenge, but I know I can do it with support from you all.

Remember, NOVEMBER 6TH is the day. Having friends and family around the city cheering me and everyone else on is a huge spirit booster! Would love for ya'll to be there. My old boss in NYC, Amanda Neville, is going to jump in around mile 19 to push me to the end. I love you Amanda!

I promise my posts won't be this long every time.

Luv to all!
